Good Service Sisters School, Baalbeck

$17,000
Furnishings for newly constructed classrooms

Located in Baalbeck, one of the poorest regions in Lebanon, the Good Service Sisters established a school that now serves over 500 students, many of whom live in poverty and cannot afford the tuition. The population largely comprises agricultural families and the number of students is increasing each year. The area suffers from a lack of public services; illiteracy, poverty, and unemployment are widespread.

Through donations, the Sisters were able to construct an addition to the school to help serve more students, but when their donations ran out, they were unable to complete furnishing the classrooms. Our goal was to raise $17,000 to provide 100 student desks, whiteboards, chairs and a table. Through your generous donations, we were able to reach our goal!
