Located in the village of Roumieh, The Mar Doumit School provides an education to students from 25 villages and towns in Metn region: 355 in the kindergarten sections, 527 in the primary sections, 280 in the complementary sections and 245 in the secondary sections.
All of these students will benefit from a new library. The first phase of the development includes equipping the library with computers, internet access, an interactive board with LCD projector, a color copier and the furnishings (tables, chairs, and bookshelves). The second phase includes installing additional bookshelves and a reception area. At the end of the project over a thousand students will benefit from access to thousands of books and a modern research system.
The total cost of this project is $41,618. EOL will provide $35,000 and Mar Doumit School will partner by contributing $6,618.
