Infrastructure and Educational Material for Special Needs Students
The Saint John the Baptist School has 180 students (some of whom are boarders). The Lebanese Ministry of Education pays the school $500 per year for each student and 128 of the children qualify for $2.90 per day in aid from the Ministry of Social Affairs. The school only collects what each family can afford to pay, and most families have limited means. This means the school often operates at the deficit.
40 of the children have physical disabilities and/or learning difficulties. This project is designed to provide them with an appropriate infrastructure for their physical needs as well as educational materials.
