Our Lady of the Assumption School and Orphanage was established in 1922, in Ferzol, near Zahle in the Bekaa region of Lebanon, and is located 58kms away from Beirut. Five thousand inhabitants live in this village where the agriculture dominant.
The school educated 500 students from the surrounding areas, many of whom are entirely unable to pay tuition. Though the 35 teachers and Salvatorian Sisters Congregation work hard to provide for their students, the classrooms are in need of upgraded furniture.
$12,525 will enable the school to refurnish fifteen classrooms with 160 students’ desks as well as 15 tables for the teachers.
